  1. First of all you must remember that you have absolute control of the situation. Either you can live in the past or live in the here and now. You both made mistakes and this is the opportunity for both of you come together and grow from those mistakes. Communication is the key to moving forward and putting the anger, hurt and jealousy away.
  2. Secondly think about when you were young and playing out by the swimming pool. Remember when your friends threw you in the freezing cold water on that very hot day. Think about how it felt. The water was so cool and refreshing. As your emotions want to come out now when you are red hot and hurt, remember that making decisions in this state means you are not using your head but your wounded jealous heart instead.
  3. This is a very difficult step but unfortunately it's important. If every time you think about your ex and feel sad, depressed, hurt and angry then this might not be a relationship to put back together. The point is that you do not want to let your ex know that you are feeling desperate. Desperation will ruin your chances of getting back together faster than anything else.
  4. If you feel like the love your ex had for you has now being taken away from you then maybe you didn't have it in the first place. You created the love from within because you wanted it to be there. Start to focus on that love that is always within you. Feel it radiate from inside you, outwards, until it has spread all the way through you. It's that love that will help heal you. The anger, hurt and jealousy that you feel will only cause negative emotions and push your ex away further. Instead let them see you as a positive and radiant person.
  5. Finally, you need to believe that your ex truly cares about you, and will reach out for you. Eventually your ex will start to come around that the break up was not a great decision. At this point you will be prepared and very calm emotionally about the situation.
