Empowerment - 8 Steps to Get Empowered

Empowering yourself is easy. Staying empowered, remembering to stay on focus, is a little tougher. Here is how to get empowered, then to stay empowered.

Step one: Sit or stand up straight. Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Think of the wonderful things that have happened in your life, where you felt empowered. Find at least 6 things.

Step two: Imagine what it feels like to experience something you didn't think you could handle, but you did.

Step three: Now, imagine yourself succeeding in something special, where you really felt empowered. (How about succeeding at being happy?) How do you stand when you're successful? How do you look? How do you FEEL?

Step four: Now, on that feeling of exhilaration, of empowerment, feel the calm that is also there. Stand or sit straighter and imagine a golden glow of light in the shape of a funnel on the top of your head.
Feel that light as it courses from the funnel shape into and through your body.

How does that feel? Peaceful? Good.

Step five: Take another deep breath. Now, hold that breath in. As you hold your breath in, feel your heart beat in your chest.

Step six: Now, in your mind, now feel your heart beat in your left little finger. If you can't feel it there, feel it in your right elbow, or wherever. Anywhere except your heart.

Step seven: Wait a couple heartbeats or so, then mentally move your heartbeat from your left little finger, or wherever you had it, to another place on your body. (Release your breath whenever you feel the need, then take another deep breath and hold it while you continue.)

Step eight: Now, as you take control of your heartbeat, moving it at will, pick the place you want to be your POWER PLACE and move your heartbeat there. Let's say it's your right thumb. That golden glow of light on your head is continuous and is flowing down, down through your arm into your right thumb. Feel the power!

Do this many times daily -- until you feel your power just by thinking of your power place. You are now empowered and, after using this technique many times, will be able to stay empowered!
